Chris-Craft Lancer 22

Tranquility Base is a fondly loved old runabout (big), Chris-Craft Lancer 22. Current owner last 17 years. Originally a luxury cruiser converted to a utility when resurrected from the back lot of a Lake Wylie marina. The boat is a deep V design so it cuts through the chop with comfortable ease.  Never used in salt water to our knowledge, supposedly originally owned by an astronaut somewhere in New England.

Boat was resurrected by the current USCG Master owner in 2008. At that time the boat was refitted completely. Refit included a new Marine Power Chevy 350 and Velvet drive gear. It has been trouble free ever since. In all those years only 225 hours have been logged, typically because it is a lake residence boat and seldom used. Great close-in handling with a skilled helmsman and great torque out of the hole. No added ballast needed as this boat is capable of quite a wake.  Usually docked for about 5 months each year and then tucked away for the winter.

The boat is not perfect. Gelcoat repairs are noted at both aft corners done prior to current ownership (see pics). Otherwise the hull is buffed and polished before each spring launch. The bilge is clean.

Boat comes with a heavy duty all aluminum Float-On tandem trailer. Trailer recently had all new brake system installed as well as a new surge hitch.
