Description
The Cure 55 represents a defining step in modern performance-cruising catamarans, combining advanced composite engineering with genuine offshore capability and long-range comfort. Developed using digital-twin modelling, carbon-infused lamination techniques, and precision manufacturing methods, the Cure 55 delivers exceptional performance without compromising durability or liveability. With a lightweight displacement of just 10,900kg, full carbon-fibre construction, and race-inspired engineering, it sets a new benchmark in the 55-foot category.
Below deck, the layout mirrors the clarity and functionality proven in the Cure 48, enhanced by the 55's increased beam and volume. To port, two generous guest cabins share a well-lit bathroom with excellent ventilation. The entire starboard hull is dedicated to the owner's suite, offering impressive space, a large forward bathroom with separate shower, and ample storage for extended cruising. Throughout the interior, in-house carbon cabinetry and lightweight structural panels deliver strength, refinement, and weight efficiency.
The saloon is the social and visual heart of the boat, with uninterrupted 360-degree views, abundant natural light, and excellent ventilation. Large aft opening windows connect seamlessly to the cockpit, while forward opening windows draw air through the saloon and galley, ensuring continuous airflow in all conditions. The galley is designed for serious cruising, with expansive bench space, practical storage, and the ability to operate all appliances via the boat's robust onboard power system.
On deck, the Cure 55's generous cockpit, wide side decks, and clean foredeck layout prioritise safety, comfort, and ease of movement. Sail handling is efficient and controlled, supported by intelligently led running rigging and premium deck hardware. The result is a boat that remains easy to manage short-handed, yet capable of covering serious miles at speed.
Performance and autonomy are central to the Cure 55's standard specification. Highlights include a 28kWh lithium battery bank, 3.9kW solar array, twin 57hp Yanmar engines, North 3Di sails, carbon mast, and comprehensive B&G instrumentation. Key design metrics, including an 8.69m beam, 12.17:1 LWL-to-BWL ratio, and 1.01m bridgedeck clearance -- contribute to exceptional stability, efficiency, and offshore confidence.
The Cure 55 is a rare combination of lightweight performance, advanced construction, and genuine cruising practicality. A catamaran designed to sail further, faster, and more comfortably, with safety and control at its core.
