Description

Wright Yachts has the privilege of sharing with you 'Memento Mori', an incredibly rare, and highly desirable 2015 Seawind 1250. Memento Mori available at our docks here in Seattle.

Memento Mori is well equipped for cruising with solid timber finishing, a Spectra 12V watermaker, four rigid solar panels producing 820 watts of solar, a Fisher Panda 4200 generator (409 hrs), Achilles HB 315 LX tender with 9.9hp Honda outboard, cockpit refrigerator and Haier washing machine.

Since the owner purchased the boat, he has meticulously maintained the vessel, and regularly updated systems and equipment.

In 2022 / 2023, the owner had a 50,000 BTU Webasto hydronic heating system installed. The system has three zones, with individual thermostats, and is plumbed through the hot water heater to provide hot water when at anchor.

In the cockpit, the owner upgraded the Lewmar 46 port winch from manual to electric. The large main sail can now be raised with ease directly from cockpit, with the push of a single button. The cockpit also received a Lewmar chain counter and remote windlass control, to compliment the existing up and down foot switches on the foredeck.

The house battery bank was upgraded to 3x Battleborn 270 Ah 12V lithium phosphate batteries (810 total Ah). This was complimented with two High Output Balmar 170 Amp XT Series alternators, a Victron MultiPlus-II 12/300/120-50 Inverter/Charger, Victron Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger, Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor w/ Built in Bluetooth, Wakespeed WS500 alternator regulator, and Victron Color Control GX monitoring system.

Shorepower was upgraded to 50 amp service with 120/240VAC ELCI main breaker, Newmar 50 amp galvanic isolator and Smartplug 125/250v cordset and inlet. While upgrading both the DC and AC electrical systems, new 120v outlets and 12V USB-C plugs were installed throughout the vessel, and the wiring was substantially upgraded. New bus bars, breakers, fuse blocks and battery switches were also installed.

In early 2024, the owner replaced both the main and jib with Contender ZZ Ultra 445 Radial Dyneema Cruising laminate, with dyneema taffeta. These are incredibly sails. The canvas stack pack was also replaced during this time to ensure the main is well protected the elements when not underway.

In late 2024, the owner replaced all Raymarine electronics with brand new Garmin electronics, including 16" chartplotter at chart desk, 12" chartplotter at port helm, 18" Fantom radar, and Vesper Cortex VHF / AIS Transceiver. Around the same time, the stereo was updated to a Fusion 770, which can be controlled from the chartplotter or from your phone. The same year, new indirect and direct LED lighting was installed throughout the vessel.

This spring, Memento Mori received a full detailing. All fluids and filters were also changed, and anodes have been replaced, as needed. Her watermaker has been well maintained. The carbon filter is fresh this year, and several spare pre-filters are included. New premium mattresses have been installed in all three cabins, along with new interior shades for the port lights, saloon and cockpit exterior window covers and bug screens/blackout shades for the deck hatches. Black water tank monitors have recently been installed on both tanks, so you don't have to ever worry about an overflow situation. The vessel comes with maintenance, upgrade and repair records, as well as a current log book.

Manufacturer Provided Description

With 27 years experience building mullihulls. Seawind’s Richard Ward wanted to build a cruising catamaran specifically designed for serious blue water cruising. The result was the Seawind 1250, 41ft of the best ideas, engineering and craftsmanship accumulated by his team of expert builders. However, before releasing the new model to production, Richard wanted to put the boat through Its paces and personally sailed the first Seawind 1250 across the notorious Bass Strait to test her seaworthiness. Impressed by the boats performance, but still not satisfied.Seawind’s delivery skipper was ordered to sail the 1250 across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand and back, over some of the worst sea conditions in the world and do his best to -Break It” , After successfully completing a 6,000 NM ocean sea trial, Richard is finally satisfied .

Now you can cruise In the confidence that Seawind has pushed the limits to produce a boat that will take you to the limits.

Philosophy

Entertainment, helm controls, navigation station, office and even a day-bed are all located within close reach of the super spacious Seawind 1250 saloon. The Australian indoor / outdoor lifestyle is entrenched in this new design, with an unbeatable living area complimented with brilliant natural ventilation, targa lounges, BBQ, Ice box (or optional fridge) and social helm seats putting the skipper in control as well as in the conversation. Best of all, you can enjoy what many cats compromise on …… “visibility”‘ for the skipper AND crew. with 360 degree views from the helm, targa seats, or saloon seats all within the protection of the fiberglass coachouse and targa roof.

The Seawind 1250 also features:

The twin helm positions on the Seawlnd 1250 offer the perfect balance between excellent 360 degree visibility and total protection from the weather in any conditions.

Skylights above give direct mainsail visibility and the comfortable and ergonomic seats are just as much a social setting as a steering position.

ALL controls are at your fingertips and use Seawind’s refined short handed sailing optimization system to provide ultimate control from the helm, avoiding the need to go forward for virtually any task!
