Description
The 2010 Leopard 38 is a highly regarded sailing catamaran known for its spacious layout, stability, and performance. SY Sam features a sleek design with a length of 11.43 meters and a beam of 6.04 meters, providing ample living space. It has a four-cabin layout with two additional single beds, accommodating up to ten people comfortably.
The interior is designed with practicality, featuring cherry-finished cabinetry, good lighting, and ventilation through fixed and opening ports. This design results from a close collaboration between Sunsail, Robertson and Caine, and Morrelli & Melvin (designers of high-performance cats such as PlayStation and the world record-setting Cheyenne catamaran). It features Euro styling and a generous sail plan for the perfect combination of performance and fun on the water.
The saloon area includes a U-shaped galley and a dinette. Each hull contains a head and shower, maximizing space efficiency. The cockpit is spacious enough to seat eight around the table, making it ideal for socializing.
Under sail, SY Sam is equipped with a raked mast and twin Yanmar 3YM30 engines (2 x 29 HP for f 58 horsepower), allowing for smooth manoeuvrability and performance. It has been noted for its exceptional stability and handling, making sailing enjoyable in various conditions. The catamaran's design enhances its performance, such as a low-slung boom for easy mainsail handling. The engines including sail drives have been serviced by Marlin Yachting (Yanmar Authorized Service) in their workshop, After the renovation, the engines can provide many years of reliable use for the future owner. Also, a Harken 46 winch is included in the inventory.
SY Sam is designed for comfort during long voyages. The saloon is airy with optional air conditioning and features removable ceiling panels for easy maintenance. On deck, the wide side decks are equipped with moulded non-skid surfaces and secure trails for safety when moving forward.

The boat has a five-year charter history with Sunsail since its commissioning in 2010. Between 2015 and 2020, she was stored on land and was not used. Since 2020, she has been privately used by the current owner, who wants to sell as they wish to discontinue boating.
The boat is currently located at Marmaris Yacht Marina in Marmaris, Mugla, Turkey, and is scheduled to be back in the water on June 7th, 2025. Potential buyers have the opportunity to inspect the bottom of the boat and make any additional upgrades they wish until the launch date.
