Description
Very fine and well-equipped X-40, featuring the attractive and well-known X-Yachts quality of interior finish and craftsmanship.
X-Yachts is one of the few builders able to combine true performance sailing with comfortable cruising, and this X-40 is no exception. The yacht is very well equipped and has, over recent years, undergone continuous upgrades and renewals of equipment, sails, sprayhood, cockpit tent, hull, topsides, batteries, thruster, and much more – the list of improvements is extensive.
The boat is equipped with UK Sails from 2015 as the upwind sail inventory, still in good condition. In addition, there are A3 and A5 sails, a furling genoa, spinnaker pole, and a Code 0 with furling system. We recommend a closer inspection of the sails so that a buyer can personally assess their condition. Also worth mentioning are the hydraulic backstay tensioner, Easykick, Lazy Pack with lazy jacks, as well as sprayhood and cockpit tent, all in good condition.
The yacht is powered by a 40 HP Yanmar engine with saildrive and a 2-blade folding propeller. Furthermore, a Side-Power retractable bow thruster, model SRV80, with remote control is installed.
The boat is equipped with a complete Raymarine instrument package, including log, depth sounder, wind instruments, autopilot, mast-mounted repeaters, Axiom plotter, and VHF radio.
Additional comfort equipment includes Eberspächer 4 kW heating, hot and cold water, stove with oven, refrigerator, radio with CD player, toilet with holding tank, and various other equipment. The battery system onboard has been upgraded and is divided into three banks: engine start, service, and thruster, all fitted with high-capacity batteries.
Overall, the yacht is very well maintained, with the interior finish in excellent condition and cockpit teak in good order with no damage.
The topsides were professionally painted with 2-component Awlgrip at a shipyard in 2022/23, and the underwater hull was stripped of old antifouling and sanded twice in autumn 2021, dried over the winter, and sanded again in spring 2022 before receiving a new bottom treatment. Both topsides and hull therefore appear in excellent condition.
A full-cover winter storage cover from GP, in very good and highly functional condition, is also included.
All in all, this X-40 is a very fine yacht in good condition and ready for a new owner.
Commissioning for the 2026 season can be arranged by further negotiation and agreement.
