Description

The Sun Odyssey 34.2 designed by architect Jacques Fauroux is a comfortable cruising boat that appeals to a long cruising experience combined with modern manufacturing technologies from the JEANNEAU shipyard. It has been very successful also for being the most spacious vessel in its category. Equipped with a powerful and balanced hull, it prefers medium intensity winds. The cockpit is very comfortable, all maneuvers are led to the two winches on the coachroof, central steering wheel, and convenient instrument console. Inside, the teak paneling, following the great JEANNEAU tradition, enhances an exceptional saloon that overlooks a functional kitchen with a large volume. The spacious bathroom with shower and independent toilet (in the 2-cabin version) and various compartments are other assets whose importance is fully appreciated at sea.

Descriptions provided by the construction site

The Sun Odyssey 34.2, with a performance hull balanced by a safe deck layout, is as comfortable at anchor as it is under way. The Sun Odyssey 34.2 has a perfectly balanced helm so the boat is steady in a breeze. Thanks to the well-designed and shapely hull, the Sun Odyssey 34.2 is a true ocean sailor, for day cruising as well as for longer voyages farther offshore. With its purely elegant lines from the desk of Jacques Fauroux, the Sun Odyssey 34.2 perfectly illustrates Jeanneau's cruising philosophy: lots of room on deck, spacious cockpit, control lines led to the companionway, stern platform, and lots of ventilation. Teak woodwork in the Jeanneau tradition complements an exceptional open-feel saloon, with attractive use of space that is at the same time practical, at dock or under way.
