full specs at www catana582.eidoscat.com
A rare opportunity to own a 2001 Catana 582, a highly regarded luxury performance cruising catamaran, blending speed, stability, and comfort. Designed by Christophe Barreau and constructed by the esteemed Catana shipyard, this yacht has been meticulously maintained and thoughtfully upgraded to ensure an exceptional sailing experience.
Measuring 19.00m (62.34ft) LOA with a 9.10m (29.86ft) beam, she offers an expansive and stable platform for bluewater cruising. Her GRP hull with a fiberglass sandwich PVC foam core enhances strength and weight efficiency. Powered by twin Yanmar 4JH3-DTE engines (125 HP each, under 1,100 hours as of September 2024), she provides reliable propulsion. Her sail plan features a 115m² mainsail, a Genoa and self-tacking jib (all replaced in 2014), and a Gennaker added in 2018, offering versatile sailing performance.
Accommodations include a spacious owner's suite with an en-suite head and separate shower, two guest cabins with en-suite facilities, and a skipper's cabin currently used for storage but convertible for crew accommodation. The galley is fully equipped with a Force 10 stainless steel 4-burner stove, two large refrigerators, and a stainless steel BBQ. The large round sofa and teak table (added in 2018) create a welcoming and comfortable saloon space.
Designed for energy efficiency, she features 1.5 kW of solar panels with four independent MPPT controllers, 480AH @ 24V GEL batteries (replaced in 2020), and a Mastervolt Ultra 24/3500 inverter/charger (added in 2018). She was imported into the EU in 2019 and is registered under the Polish flag.
