Owner's opinion
Betelem is my third boat. I bought it twenty years ago, a year before I retired. It is a very safe sailboat that, when well-tuned, can sail fast while remaining comfortable. I have encountered difficult conditions, but I have never been in trouble. My first sails, with family, allowed me to discover the coasts of Brittany, from the island of Yeu to Saint Malo, alternating between marinas and wild anchorages. As the cruises progressed, I adapted Betelem for longer voyages, this time with one or even two crew members: England, Ireland, Scotland where I went four times, Faroe Islands, Shetland, Orkney, Norway, and finally, a wonderful trip in the Baltic, Denmark, Sweden, up to the Åland Islands, belonging to Finland, and returning through northern Denmark. It was on the return from this last cruise that I decided to part with Betelem, with much regret but with wonderful memories.
