Description
MARI-CHA III is an exceptional sailing Super Yacht, designed to offer its owner a luxurious cruising experience while maintaining the performance of a true high-performance Super Maxi. This luxury yacht, built by the prestigious Sensation Yachts shipyard and designed by internationally renowned naval architect Philippe Briand, embodies the perfect blend of elegance, technological innovation, and power under sail.
With its sleek silhouette and impressive carbon ketch rig, MARI-CHA III immediately attracts attention in every anchorage. Its generous sail plan gives it an exceptional weight/surface ratio, ensuring speed, efficiency, and stability. A true racing and cruising yacht, it allows for quick navigation between destinations while providing absolute comfort on board.
From the design phase, the goal was clear: to build an ultra-lightweight and rigid carbon yacht without ever compromising safety. The interior, envisioned by John Munford, is inspired by a refined Edwardian style, blending timeless luxury with high-end finishes. At the same time, Philippe Briand developed an optimized hull to achieve top-tier performance. The Carbon Kevlar sandwich hull exceeds the strength of comparable aluminum structures while significantly reducing the overall weight of the yacht.
Sea trials have confirmed its exceptional potential: 12.5 knots upwind with only 12 knots of true wind, and 17 knots on a reach with 14 knots of wind, demonstrating remarkable efficiency and the ability to harness the slightest breath of air.
Even today, MARI-CHA III remains a benchmark among high-performance sailing Super Yachts, combining records, advanced technology, and absolute luxury.
Disclaimer
MARI-CHA III presents a giant leap in design and technology. From the owner's brief to the naval architect's plan was certainly a major challenge - design a supremely comfortable yacht that is also the fastest of her type and size in the world.
MARI-CHA III's dual role of luxurious Superyacht and racing machine required a huge amount of research and development, ten months to ensure that she succeeded in both guises.
Hundreds of drawings, sketches, studies on hull shape and rig comparable to an America's Cup campaign (including computer hull flow studies, tank testing, wind tunnel sail development). This was completed by real life speed trials leading to ongoing developments. Will MARI-CHA III's "invités de marque", be able to imagine the saloon during a transoceanic race whilst drinking fine Champagne.
Super Maxi
MARI-CHA III's construction is at the cutting edge. MARI-CHA III is surely the finest high tech sailing yacht of her size in the world - and likely to remain so for some time.
MARI-CHA III, cruising or racing, guarantees her owner satisfaction, pride and honour. Forever...
