Topsides

Most notable in the deck layout is the ease of the access to the foredeck from the cockpit. The mid cockpit layout is designed for offshore with stanchions around the mast, substantial non skid (repainted 2017) on the cabin top and the main sail activated electrically form the cockpit for safe and easy operation. The foredeck is also well designed for offshore and is uncluttered and secure. All fore, side and aft decks are teak for both safety and beauty. The teak deck has been religiously maintained and is excellent condition.

The expansive aft deck features pulpit seats, a custom SS boarding ladder, along with Kato davits for dinghy storage and is a terrific deck for grilling via the Kumma grill and socializing while anchored. Also located in this area is the hydraulic backstay supporting the Questus radar mounting system and an Edson outboard motor storage device. All chocks are SS with incorporated nylon rollers to ease chaffing. Green Ayes has a huge lazarette storage accessed via its own deck hatch.

The cockpit comes with a dodger, bimini, connector, and a full Isinglass enclosure to completely seal the cockpit in adverse weather conditions. The front of the dodger glass was replaced in 2024 for extra clear viewing. The cockpit has excellent visibility, and is secure and roomy. It includes a leather covered Edson wheel, an ICOM VHF radio, and the Raytheon 7000 Auotpilot. The antenna for the cockpit VHF radio is located on the Questus radar mount. Interior spaces and the deck /cockpit are excellent, and reflect the highest quality in gear and workmanship.
