Gib'Sea 126 MK2

The Gib'Sea 126 MK2 is known as a good sea sailor with its spacious deck, large cockpit, and good sailing characteristics. Inside, the Gib'Sea has a spacious salon and cabins with long, wide beds and two bathrooms.

This Gib'Sea 126 has undergone an extensive refit from 2019 to 2023. The rudder blade was renewed in 2019 by Modus Marine, the fiberglass in the transom was addressed and re-laminated. Then, in 2021, the deck, the superstructure, and the cockpit were refitted with new fiberglass. The yacht now likely has a stronger construction than at the original build.

The windows in the hull (4 pieces) were renewed in 2021, as well as two portholes (Gebo) and all six deck hatches (Gebo). All instruments have been renewed with two B&G plotter screens, B&G Triton displays, AIS, Autopilot, and VHF, with the instruments connected to an NMEA backbone. The fendering has also been renewed, the water pump and water lines have been renewed, two water tanks have been refitted, permateak in the cockpit and on the swim platform, the hull has been painted, the engine has had a major service with a new heat exchanger and a new heater in 2022 with 5 air outlets in different cabins and spaces. The guardrail and the bimini have been renewed in 2023. The interior could still use an upgrade.

Both aft cabins are equipped with a foldable sink and have access to a separate shower. The owner's cabin is impressively spacious with a freestanding bed, dressing table, and an ensuite bathroom.

Headroom in all three cabins is 1.90 - 1.92 m.

Dimensions of the fore cabin bed are 2.06 x 1.50-1.70 m.

Dimensions of the port aft cabin bed are 1.92 x 1.35 m.

Dimensions of the starboard aft cabin bed are 1.94 x 1.35 m.

In the cockpit floor, there is a hatch with space underneath for a liferaft, cockpit table, and swim ladder. This hatch has been treated with new fiberglass during the refit in 2021. The cockpit floor and the swim platform have been covered with new permateak in 2021.
