Description
1983 Custom Nelson/Marek 36 Racing Sailboat Tinder Box
Custom built in 1983 by its original owner designed by Nelson/Marek Yacht design a well know Naval Architect business in San Diego that is still in business today.
The original Navtec standing rigging was replaced in 2018 with Hayn/Navtec rod rigging made by Seatek Yachting in Signal Hill CA.
It was built out of cold molded Mahogany Wood and polyester resin. Designed to the IOR rule, her current PHRF rating is 81/87/87. This vessel has been racing in the California Yacht Club Sunset Series in PHRF C since 2015.
Universal 5424 3 Cylinder 24 hp Diesel engine. Engine hours unknown.
