Description
Over 70k was invested to transform an already solid catboat into the fastest, easiest to handle AC24 on the water, with lux amenities that make coastal cruising a joy. The final phase was completed last winter.
This is a classic cruising catboat capable of sleeping 6, with room for 8 in the cockpit, pefect not only for cruising open water, but also for getting into shallow areas most cruisers cannot reach. With a 2' draft with the board up, you can sail right up onto the beach. With over 640 amp hours of charge from two separate arrays, extended cruising under power is finally possible under pure electric power. With no diesel smell or vibration, the QT-10 is always standing by, providing immediate torque, perfect for docking, motor sailing, pushing through tacks, getting home quickly when conditions deteriorate, or for making unexpected emergency maneuvers.
Enjoy serious cost savings with no annual commissioning or decommissioning. Just lubricate the engine, paint the bottom, step the mast, bend the sail on, and go. Switch between two battery banks to selectively control which battery powers the house and which battery powers the motor. You can also have one battery control both. She's reached 7 knots under sail and can easily reach hull speed under power, with plenty of charge to spare. With autopilot and jiffy reefing, this boat can be easily single-handed.
