Accommodations
The Kelly/Peterson 46 is designed for comfortable living at sea or anchor. The care and consideration of design and construction are of the highest caliber. The KP 46 is the culmination of years of experience with cruising and yacht design.
The vessel is fitted with 18 bronze opening portlights with screens. The staterooms, one aft and one forward, are spacious, and each has a private head with a shower. The bunks are king-sized in length. All lockers are vented to maintain freshness and have interior lights that come on automatically when the locker doors are opened. The teak interior and teak and holly sole give you the feeling of comfort and warmth.
“DULCINEA” has a custom navigation station to starboard upon entry to the vessel from the companionway, with storage beneath and an adjustable seat. To port is the well-equipped galley. Forward of the galley is the settee, and opposite is the U-shaped dinette. The settee, port side main salon, slides out to allow a spacious 6' 8" berth in the main salon. The U-shaped dinette features a teak table that drops down and makes into a large double berth. There are numerous lockers above and below both the port and starboard settees, as well as throughout the yacht.
Aft of the galley, port side, is a large storage room, outboard are cabinets, and inboard provides access to the diesel engine. Starboard, aft of the navigation station, is a walk-through to the aft cabin. To the right of the walk-thru is the generator compartment. The Wabasto diesel cabin heat furnace is also located in the generator compartment. The walk-thru also provides access to the starboard side of the diesel engine.
The large aft master stateroom has a full, wide queen berth with storage cupboards on either side of the bunk and two large hanging lockers on the starboard side. The master cabin has a private head with a freshwater Powerflush toilet, sink, and a large shower with a seat. There is access to the cockpit from the aft cabin.
The forward cabin has a large V-Berth with a hatch overhead and two opening portals for ventilation. There are lockers and good personal storage in this cabin. There is also access directly into the forward head, which has a freshwater powerflush toilet, sink, and shower.
Galley
The galley is to port as you come down the companionway. It is equipped with a hot and cold pressure water system as well as foot pumps for fresh or salt water, plus two stainless steel sinks. For the cook's comfort, an additional deck hatch is located above the galley for the utmost in ventilation. The galley is spacious, yet compact, to provide safety in all types of sea conditions, and has generous capacity for equipment and stores. A stand up bar dividing the galley from the salon provides additional bulk storage capacity.
