This yacht has been meticulously maintained by its current owners who has added numerous upgrades and improvements during their ownership. This yacht sails long passages and is a very capable vessel when the weather gets nasty. She will keep you safe and dry until you arrive at your destination. 

She is a GRP craft with a lead encapsulated keel. She has a fin rudder with dual steering wheel positions to cope with any weather. She benefits from 5 berths which compromise of 2 double berths and 1 single berth in two cabins, excluding the saloon. There are two twin sinks in the galley and a very capable cooker with 3 gas ring burners, an oven and a grill.

The interior is mainly fawn in colour and wood in the form of plywood veneers. There is a good 6 foot of headroom. She is heated by her own diesel heater.

Her navigational equipment is perfect for all your needs and is used regularly for passages to and from Scotland from her base here at Hartlepool Marina.

She has 3 Vetus house batteries and two Vetus starter batteries each with as capacity of 160 amps. These are charged by engine alternator and the 240 Victron charging system. She is well equipped for solar power with 3 panels ranging from 100 watts to 200 watts. and has 5 batteries in total. Two are starter batteries and 3 are house batteries each having a capacity of 160amps. They are charged from engine alternator and shore power. The shore power cable is included. She has pressurised hot and cold water

Baru is sloop rigged with aluminum spars made by France Spars. She has stainless steel rigging which was replaced in 2017 giving the rig many more years of service. Her boom was also replaced in 2017 and is a Sail Tamer in boom roller reefing system making this superb for the short handed sailor. She also has 2 spinnaker poles.

There are 9 winches, 5 of which are on the cockpit and 4 are at the mast. All are Lewmar and are self-tailing. One is electric. 

The sail wardrobe is well stocked for every eventuality.

As you note from the excellent You Tube video which has been produced from the prolific current owner, she has an electric powered windlass with 45 meters of 10mm chain and a further 30 meters of anchor warp.

Additional items include tender davits, a search light, fenders, navigation lights, a boat hook, guard wires, engine spares, built in spray dodgers, a cockpit cover, all over covers, CD/Cassette player, FM radio, barometer, life jackets X 2, flares, fire extinguisher, life buoy, rescue man overboard sling and a life raft that was only new in 2024 with its next scheduled service being in May 2027.

All in all, this is a ready to sail/go anywhere yacht, very well equipped, reliable and from a world renowned stable.
