Description
1980 Roué 20 – A Living Tribute to Canada’s Maritime Design Legacy
Designed by William James Roué, the visionary behind the iconic Bluenose, the Roué 20 is a masterful blend of tradition, elegance, and sailing performance. First drawn in the early 20th century, the Roué 20 was conceived as a refined keel daysailer—graceful on the water, responsive on the helm, and unmistakably beautiful in form.
This 1980-built example carries forward that storied heritage with timeless lines, sweeping overhangs, and a gentle sheer that speaks to Roué’s design genius. With varnished mahogany accents, bronze hardware, and a meticulously shaped hull, she remains true to the spirit of hand-crafted wooden yachts while benefiting from modern care and thoughtful stewardship.
Sailed primarily in Atlantic Canada, the Roué 20 is more than a boat—it’s a celebration of Canadian yacht design and a direct descendant of one of the most revered design lineages in maritime history. Whether racing under full canvas or gliding through a quiet cove, she turns heads and warms hearts.
A rare opportunity to own and preserve a piece of East Coast sailing tradition.
