Camper & Nicholson has an office that looks out across Trafalger Square in London and the statue of Lord Nelson. They had been in business building ocean sailing vessels for 20 years when Nelson fought the battle of Trafalger in 1805.
This unparalleled history of marine architecture and craftmanship has resulted in their well deserved reputation of producing among the finest examples of sturdy world cruising yachts.
First built in1975, the 39 ketch has been one of their most popular models. ALTI MAR has lain fallow for some time and will require some loving attention to be put in shape. But she has the pedigree to justify the effort.
A newer diesel auxiliary gives a leg up on the task.
