Description
Kalik 33 – Polyester Sailing Yacht with Sporty Features and Spacious AccommodationThe Kalik 33 is a Belgian-made sailing yacht, designed by the renowned yacht designer De Ridder and built at the Lewin shipyard in 1977. This model is known for its sporty sailing characteristics and solid construction. The hull is made of polyester and features a V-bottom, which contributes to the stability and course stability of the ship, even in stronger wind conditions. With a length of 10 meters, a width of 3.50 meters, and a draft of 2 meters, this yacht is suitable for both inland and coastal waters.Dimensions and ConstructionThe Kalik 33 has an air draft of 16 meters and an interior headroom of 1.85 meters, providing ample freedom of movement inside. The hull is finished in a striking blue color. The aluminum mast shows some bare spots in the paint layer, which could be a point of attention for the new owner. The non-slip paint on the deck is peeling in some areas, requiring cosmetic maintenance. The boat is equipped with tiller steering and a single rudder, with the steering position located outside in the cockpit.Interior and AccommodationInside, the Kalik 33 offers space for six fixed berths, including two spacious dog berths that can also be used as pilot berths. Additionally, there are two extra berths available, making the ship suitable for families or groups of up to eight people. The accommodation includes a dining area, mattresses, and a stove. The manual toilet is connected to a 15-liter holding tank, and the discharge does not go directly into open water.Engine and Technical EquipmentThe Kalik 33 is equipped with a Mitsubishi Drinkwaard inboard diesel engine from 1998. This three-cylinder engine is electrically started. The fuel consumption is around 1.5 liters per hour at a cruising speed of approximately 10 km/h. A new water pump has recently been installed on the engine. The electrical installation includes a battery charger, alternator, inverter, and voltmeter. There is one battery on board, and the system operates on both 12V and 220V.Navigation and Sailing EquipmentIn terms of navigation, the Kalik 33 is equipped with an autopilot, GPS, and compass. The sail plan consists of five sails: a mainsail, jib, genoa, storm jib, and spinnaker. The sails are made of Dacron and are of sport quality (North Sails). The genoa is equipped with a reefing system. There is one aluminum mast present. The boat features sporty rigging and deck layout, which contributes to the sailing performance. This makes the ship suitable for both recreational sailing and racing.Equipment and SafetyOn deck, the Kalik 33 is equipped with a sprayhood (new, yet to be installed), pulpit and pushpit, fenders, lines, a guardrail, and a swim ladder. An anchor with a line is available for anchoring. The cockpit is self-draining, and there is a lifebuoy on board. A bilge pump is not present.Usage and Sailing AreaThe current owner has used the Kalik 33 for various purposes such as day trips, vacations, sporty sailing, and weekend trips. The boat has been used on lakes and seas, including the Zeeland Delta. The sailing characteristics are described as stable and course-stable, even in strong winds. The combination of sporty components such as keel, rudder, and rigging makes this ship distinctive compared to other Kalik 33 models.Maintenance and HistoryThe last antifouling treatment was carried out in 2024. The boat is scheduled to be taken out of the water for maintenance in 2025. There are no signs of osmosis present. All previous owners are known.Additional InformationUpon sale, the transport of the boat will be arranged to Herkingen, where the ship will be launched. A trailer is not included. The total weight of the boat is approximately 5,000 kg.The Kalik 33 offers a combination of space, sailing performance, and practical equipment, suitable for both the recreational sailor and the sporty enthusiast.
