Description
Designed by Gordon K (Sandy) Douglas, the Flying Scot has been one of the best day sailors ever designed with production starting in 1958 and still being produced today. It is robustly built. No thin fiberglass of vulnerability. She is raced one-design all over the country, including locally, or will fit into a handicap fleet or simply can be day sailed. She carries a class main, class jib and spinnaker. 3 people can race her. One or two can day sail her. She can be easily launched at any ramp, as well as retrieved. Her rig is simple to set up. She’s quite beachable too. Very stable. A great starter boat and seasoned sailors will enjoy her too. Even those of the elder set. This is a great way to enjoy sailing at a reasonable price on boat with a build quality and reputation like no other.
