Description
The “Jessica May & I” is a 28’ Cape Island Design, known for their stability, load carrying capacity and seaworthiness. These vessels were first designed and built on Nova Scotia’s Atlantic Coast for the fishing industry and have long been sought after for recreational and sport fishing pleasures.
The hull of this vessel was built by DH Boat Builders in 1988 using solid fiberglass. In 2022 it was stripped to the bare hull and rebuilt, with new framing, floors, decks, cabin structure, running gear and electrical. All exterior areas of the vessel are sheathed in fiberglass and water-tight.
This is a great opportunity to get on the water with a newer, cost effective, low maintenance, seaworthy vessel. It's well worth a look!
Layout and Accommodations
The vessel is a typical Cape Island Design with large cockpit and smaller cabin and cuddy forward. The main cabin / helm is entered from the cockpit port side via a GRP sliding door. The helm is located to port. Entry to the forward cuddy is on centerline and provides access to the two berth / settees and the marine toilet.
