Description
Dream Weaver is just back from cruising Alaska. It is a prime example of the popular DeFever 49 Raised Pilothouse. It is easily run by a couple, and is ready to go again. It features two staterooms, two heads, and ample storage space for a comfortable cruising experience.
Designed by Author DeFever, the DeFever 49 RPH is an all-around, well-thought-out design.
Some of our favorite features are walk-around side decks and Portuguese bridge for comfort and safety, plus side boarding gates for easy and safe access to the dock. No awkward jumping over docklines from the swim platform or climbing down a ladder. Another great design feature is the high flared bow for a safe, dry ride when the weather gets sporty, plus the strength of a solid fiberglass hull (Not foam cored). You’ll appreciate the great visibility from the pilot house and the comfortable new helm chair. There’s also an enjoyable upper flybridge helm area for cruising in sunny weather or entertaining friends.
Twin aft doors open from the rear deck into the salon, which features to port, a comfortable fold-out futon for seating and provides sleeping for extra guests. To starboard is a small chest freezer and a flat-screen TV, plus more storage and a 2023 Splendide washer/dryer.
The efficient galley features Corian countertops, a large stainless sink, plus port and starboard opening sliding windows with screens. There is abundant storage in the above and below-counter teak cabinetry. Appliances include a 120-volt stand-up refrigerator/freezer, a large convection microwave oven, and an induction cooktop.
Off the galley to starboard is the entrance to the pilothouse where there is an L-shaped settee and a teak drop-leaf table. There is excellent visibility from both the settee and the new helm chair. Full instrumentation includes a Furuno touchscreen Multi-Function-Display and a standalone full-screen navigation computer. There are port and starboard side deck doors with retractable screens. The flybridge is easily accessed via teak steps.
A curving stairway from the pilothouse accesses staterooms below. The master stateroom amidships offers a walk-around queen berth. To port, teak hanging lockers, with drawer storage under the queen berth, stainless steel opening ports, en-suite head with a Corian counter, and a Raritan Marine Elegance toilet, plus a shower stall.
Forward of the master stateroom, to port, is the guest head also featuring a Corian counter, with a Raritan Marine Elegance toilet.
The forward cabin guest stateroom is arranged with upper and lower single berths, teak lockers, teak drawers, and a large opening deck hatch with teak interior framing. Plus, four stainless steel opening ports with screens for ventilation.
