Family boating just took on a whole now meaning with the introduction of the Chaparral 196 SSi. Skiers will immediately feel the tug with low-end pulling power that keeps the boat on plane at speeds slow enough for wakeboarding and kneeboarding. The bucket seats feature 40-ounce vinyl and supportive headrests. The 196 SSi also has four stereo speakers. Little things like a molded footrest and padded armrests are a cut above. To beat the elements, Chaparral has designed a cockpit drainage system that, in conjunction with Kelron seat bases and Flow-Foam, does an excellent job of keeping water away from the interior. Fiberglass construction, stainless hardware, and an aluminum dashboard are further proof that the 196 is built to last.
