Internal description:

Entering from the cockpit entrance on the left, U-shaped kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher opposite the navigation area with advanced electronics including GPS, radar, VHF, and a complete navigation system with dual autopilot, the instruments are doubled in the cockpit. Dinette with C-shaped table with double fridge locker, and opposing sofa with pull-out berth, at the bow a small hallway with wardrobes, a double forward cabin with dedicated bathroom, high-quality furniture in excellent condition. At the stern of the navigation area, a king-size watch berth and a stern cabin with a double bed and bathroom. All rooms are separately air-conditioned.

External description:

Ascending from the steps of the stern, a large sunbathing area before the central cockpit where all the current maneuvers and control systems are around the helmsman's seat with three electric winches and others dedicated, and control for the engine and retractable bow thruster. Wide side decks from the cockpit windshield to the bow with lockers and electric windlass. The VP engine with 105 HP for average speeds of 8 knots under engine. It was 1998 when the La Rochelle shipyard, Amel, decided to put into production a reissue of a truly remarkable boat, the Super Maramu, evolving it in size and equipment up to the Super Maramu 2000. A ketch measuring 16 meters long, with a maximum beam of 4 meters and 60 centimeters. It stands out for the quality of the materials used, the high level of finishes, and its undisputed marine qualities. As with every other vessel produced and designed by the Amel/Carteau duo, one gets the impression that every little detail has been carefully studied to meet the owner's desires.

If we were to summarize in a few words the judgment on this 16-meter Amel, we could state that we experienced a fast, exhilarating vessel in terms of performance, perfect in terms of maneuverability. In reality, the Super Maramu 2000 is a true concentrate of technology and patents, all tested and developed directly by the engineering staff of the Amel shipyard. The hull line of the Super Maramu 2000 is decidedly classic, while a more modern approach has been adopted for the hull design, in an attempt to give the boat truly noteworthy speed qualities. The hull is entirely made of hand-laminated fiberglass, while the deck is made of balsa sandwich. What truly distinguishes this vessel is the quality of construction: the entire hull has eleven watertight compartments, created by structural bulkheads. The deck can be defined with a single adjective: accessible. Entirely finished in synthetic teak, the two side decks are so wide that the raised areas of the cabin top are almost imperceptible. This allows for great freedom of movement while sailing. At the bow, the anchor and windlass are perfectly housed and operable through a simple automated mechanism, activated directly from the control panel at the helm. Two very comfortable lockers for storing sheets, fenders, and sails are positioned on either side of the windlass, while corresponding to the cockpit (in a central position), on the left, there is a locker for the self-inflating life raft. In conclusion, the Super Maramu 2000 is a ketch suitable for a comfortable and safe cruise, but at the same time capable of providing respectable performance.
