Description

CONSTANCE is a 46.4m (152.1 ft) classic tri-deck motor yacht with exceptional Dutch pedigree. She was built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure by Feadship in 1986 and remains a standout example of timeless craftsmanship and design.

Her elegant exterior was designed by De Voogt Naval Architects, while her warm and sophisticated interior was styled by Glade Johnson Design. Finished with classic teak decks and boasting a gross tonnage of 418 GT, CONSTANCE offers a spacious and well-balanced layout across her three decks.

CONSTANCE underwent a comprehensive 18-month refit at Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, completed in the summer of 2016. This extensive project included a full technical and structural overhaul, with the complete replacement of her engine room and bridge systems, installation of new engines, gearboxes, generators, and stabilisers. Her boat deck was reinforced to allow the safe operation of her tender cranes. A collision bulkhead was added forward of all crew cabins and the laundry to support the vessel’s upgrade from Category 2 (up to 60 nautical miles from a safe haven) to Category 0 Unrestricted (worldwide) commercial operation. The vessel complies with LY1 standards. Her interior was thoughtfully refurbished, preserving the original woodwork while updating both guest and crew areas to modern standards. Exterior enhancements included a full repaint, replacement of teak decking, and new deck equipment, effectively breathing new life into this classic Feadship.

CONSTANCE is scheduled to undergo an extensive 3-month refit in 2026, during which her 10-Year Special Survey will also be completed, further ensuring her excellent technical condition and long-term operational reliability.

In 2021, she received a further significant refit focused on exterior restoration and mechanical servicing. This included a full repaint, corrosion treatment, and underwater hull blasting with fresh antifouling, as well as structural repairs to both steel and aluminium. Major systems including shafts, stabilisers, bow thruster, windlass, cranes, and passerelle, were thoroughly serviced, accompanied by a range of interior upgrades and technical improvements.

Powered by twin Caterpillar Acert C32 diesel engines (900 hp each), CONSTANCE cruises comfortably at 12 knots, with a top speed of 14 knots and a maximum range of 3,800 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her onboard stabilisation system ensures smooth cruising conditions for all guests.

She is configured to accommodate up to 12 guests in five well-appointed cabins, offering privacy and comfort throughout. Built to Lloyd’s Register classification and fully MCA compliant, CONSTANCE is a fine example of enduring quality, seaworthiness, and timeless appeal.
