Accommodations
With a genuine 5/6 berth capacity in three separate sleeping areas the Nimbus 3000 provides class leading accomodation for just a hull length of 30ft. Large aft cabin with generous double berth, wardrobe and drawer storage, seating area and sink. Forward saloon with infill for an very large double berth, centre cabin with what could be best described as a large single or snug double berth, wardrobe storage . Forwarded saloon has a generous table with seating for 4/6 for dining or games, centre cockpit had a further table with seating for 4 with the flip navigator seat in the aft position.
Mechanical Equipment
Powerful yet economical Volvo penta 6 cylinder turbo diesel, maintained under its current ownership with annual servicing, Tantrums engine starts first time every time with just a little pre heat from the glow plugs, replaced 2022 during a cylinder head overhaul, and idles smoke free. These older, pre electronic, Volvo engines are much favoured for their ease of maintainance and reliable parts availability and with the engine located under the cockpit floor it is easily accessible for daily checks and annual servicing.
Galley Equipment
Tantrum galley is located in the midship cockpit area, the original gas oven has been replaced with a mains powered microwave/oven ( original pipework remains should a future owner wish to return her to original specification) , refrigerator is also in this central cockpit under the helm seat and the side mounted galley has a sink with hot and cold mixer tap, hot water being provided from either a mains powered immersion heater or indirectly vis a calorifier from the engine cooling system. Cupboard and drawer storage is available for cuttlery, crockery etc, and the area has ample work surface for food preparation.
Deck and Hull Equipment
Tantrum is equipped with all the usual features expected on a cruising boat and also benefits from an electric flush toilet and on board holding tank, discharged either via deck outlet or at sea via electric pump. Powerful bow thruster provides effortless close quarters manoeuvring.
Navigation Systems
Raymarine chart plotter, dated but functional, depth sounder and compass but also fitted with a later auto helm for effortless coastal passage work, large radar reflector and functional navigation lights and remote operated searchlight, powerful horn and vhf radio.
Additional Equipment
Interior fittings have been replaced throughout with LED bulbs and feature lighting.
