Layout
Enter Amor Del Mar from the aft deck through teak doors to a warm and inviting salon. The interior is finished in traditional teak, with a teak and holly salon floor. The brightwork is in top condition and belies the vintage of this yacht.
The galley is forward of the salon and to port, with a well-appointed wet bar opposite.
From the galley / salon, there are three stairs up to the pilothouse, and from there, forward steps down to the staterooms.
Salon
The salon is a warm and inviting space for relaxing or entertaining. There are two barrel chairs to starboard with a cabinet in between, there is a settee to port with internal storage and a television on the aft right bulkhead,
Forward to starboard is a well appointed wet bar with U-Line ice maker, stainless sink with hot and cold water, a working counter and a storage locker.
There are large opening windows, warm lighting, and updated soft goods and window treatments finish the salon in an elegant, traditional nautical theme.
Galley
The galley is forward and to port of the salon and is horseshoe-shaped. There is ample work space and abundant storage for extended cruising and entertaining.

Pilothouse
The pilothouse, up three steps from the salon, offers excellent visibility and is the heart of the yacht while underway. The lower helm features full engine controls, instrumentation, and a good array of navigation and communication equipment for coastal cruising. Here also is the electrical panel, chart storage, traditional teak wheel. There are teak side doors, port and starboard, to the side decks, a very comfortable settee with table, a pilot berth, book shelves, and an enviably comfortable captain's chair.

Accommodations
Descend curved steps from the starboard area of the pilothouse to the accommodations foyer. Amor de Mar offers the preferred three-stateroom layout. The VIP cabin is all the way forward with double pullman berth to port, hanging locker, and desk and storage to starboard. There is an opening overhead hatch and two portlights.
The second guest cabin to port has upper and lower bunks, a hanging locker, and a desk with a stool, overhead hatch.
The guest / day head is to starboard with Sealand Vacuflush toilet with Tankwatch holding tank monitor, shower, heated towel racks, and more storage.
Aft of the foyer, midships, is the spacious master cabin. This is an athwartships full walk-around double berth with side tables, plenty of storage in drawers, cupboards and hanging lockers. The ensuite head has a Sealand Vacuflush toilet, Tankwatch holding tank monitor, tub and shower, lots of storage and heated towel racks! From the cabin, there is also a private stairway up aft to the salon.
The Kubola hot water furnace provides on demand hot water and heat throughout the yacht. This is a five zone system (set up to add two more zones if desired) with ITR controls and a thermostat in each zone. It was installed new in 2010.
Deck and Hull
The aft deck is fully enclosed for year-round comfort. Wide covered side decks are perfectly suited for PNW cruising. There is a teak and stainless ladder up to the command bridge and boat deck.
The teak decks are screwed with stainless fasteners into plywood, which is embedded into a fibreglass deck. There is no evidence of leaks, nor has there ever been. The upper decks are molded non-skid.
In 2010, the owner decided to have the bottom completely stripped to remove many years of bottom paint build up. Even though there were no blisters, they prudently decided to have an epoxy barrier coat applied at the same time.

Mechanical and Electrical
Power is by a pair of eminently reliable, and efficient, Detroit Diesel 4-53 turbo diesel engines, 175 hp each. The engine room is clean and organized with relatively easy access to all systems.
