1980 Willard 60’ Pilothouse – Proven Cruiser with Long-Range Comfort
This 60’ Willard Pilothouse blends commercial-grade reliability with a spacious, livable interior—ideal for extended cruising, coastal passages, or serious voyaging. Known for their stout build and seaworthy design, Willards have earned a reputation as dependable passagemakers, and this yacht is no exception.
Powered by twin 375 hp Caterpillar 3406TA diesels, she cruises efficiently at 8–10 knots and can reach 12 knots when needed. Mechanical highlights include a pair of Northern Lights gensets (10kW & 20kW), a Magnum MS2812 inverter/charger, Wesmar hydraulic bow thruster and stabilizers for confident handling, and a Kabola diesel furnace for quiet, whole-boat hydronic heat. Major investments include new engine room fuel tanks (2020) and a Steelhead 1500 lb. davit (2014)—ready to handle a substantial tender.
The pilothouse is designed for serious passagemaking, equipped with dual STIDD helm chairs on polished chrome bases and redundant electronics: Furuno NavNet radar/plotter/depth system, Furuno 1945 radar, and Standard Horizon plotter.
Below, the yacht accommodates up to 10 guests in three staterooms. The full-beam master features an island queen berth and private ensuite, while guest cabins are well-suited for family or crew. The salon and galley flow naturally for both entertaining and extended living, with a Jennair propane stove with electric oven, Bosch Axxis washer/dryer, and ample storage.
Whether you’re planning the Great Loop, Alaska, Mexico and anywhere in between or simply a spacious liveaboard, this Willard 60 offers robust systems, thoughtful upgrades, and a layout designed for comfort underway. You won't find a nicer more comfortable cruiser for this price!
Now available for viewing—don’t miss the opportunity to own a proven long-range pilothouse with the pedigree and upgrades to cruise anywhere with confidence.
