Description

Legends rarely come to the open market, which makes this offering rather special and quite fun. Tommy Sopwith was an unapologetic chap's chap, and after winning the inaugural Cowes-Torquay Race in August 1961 on THUNDERBOLT, he needed something bigger—and FASTER! Enter THUNDERSTREAK in '63, a Bertram 31 Competition. Completely re-engineered, breathtakingly fast, and proven to be utterly reliable, she has raced under the Team RYS banner and now boasts guttural twin Mercruiser H.O. big block V8s paired with Race X legs. A wallflower she is not. Rescued from the grave and having won the triple crown with panache and charm, she is now 100% ready for her next chapter. No time-wasters, please.
