S/V Salty Paws is a Punta Gorda, Florida, based 1996 Manta 40 Catamaran for sale by owner. Manta catamarans were built in Florida from the late 1990s to the late 2000s. The Manta is unmistakably recognizable from a distance with her trademark high bows and a massively curved integrated forward crossbeam.
She sleeps 4 comfortably in 2 staterooms on queen-sized beds. A third cabin is available forward, sized for a standard bed. The main salon on the bridge deck contains a well-equipped kitchen area, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, nav-station, electrical panels, dining area, and entertainment center. She has all navigational electronics for worldwide cruising in safely and comfort.
The salon area has access to the helm, and the port and starboard hulls. The bridge deck contains the kitchen/galley, navigation station, electrical panels, refrigerator/freezer, dining/settee area, entertainment area, wet locker, and storage cabinets. The kitchen area has a built-in Corian sink countertop, 3-burner propane range/oven, drawers, and cabinets with a microwave oven. The cabinetry includes 2 drawers, with cabinets above and below the countertops. The navigation station has a chart-sized hinged countertop with chart storage beneath.
Hull, deck, and bulkheads constructed of triaxial, biaxial, and unidirectional fiberglass with vinyl ester, isophthalic resins, and Divinycell composite foam cores (hull and deck) and Nida-core (sub-soles and bulkheads) that were all vacuum bagged.

Salty Paws' owners have taken the standard Manta and made innovative upgrades. These include a "stack pack" for the self-tending, Camberspar jib; a solar hot water heater to assure hot showers even on overcast days; and a 15" navigation touchscreen at the helm utilizing non-proprietary OpenCPN software.
