The "C-Kip" trawlers were part of the wave of Taiwanese-built fiberglass yachts that entered the market in the 1970s and 1980s, offering affordable cruising options. They were likely built by Ocean Marine Co. LTD in Taiwan and imported to Europe, notably by Kip Marina. They were designed to be similar to Grand Banks trawlers and have a reputation for being reasonably well-built for their time.
