With more than 400 units sold worldwide over the years, the Tornado 38 stands out for its classic and bold lines, making it the symbol of the vintage motorboat that never goes out of style.
Tornado 38 remains the same on the outside as the model from the past, but it has been completely revised on the inside, in the engine, and in the onboard instrumentation that adopts the latest technologies available on the market.
With the increase in the size of superyachts, the tender market has received a boost in recent years, not only expanding the offering but also becoming larger.
To be precise, today the term tender does not only mean a support vessel for larger boats, but some of these tenders, especially those over ten meters, also tend to be used for seaside residences and purely for daily activities. Tornado, founded in 1968, celebrates fifty years of activity by presenting the project of the 38 T-Tender, based on the platform of its most successful model to date, the 38, produced for many years.
Designed by architect Gianluca Caputi, a famous Roman naval architect who I remember was responsible for the third generation of Italcraft, which spans from the late nineties to the first decade of the second millennium, the Tornado 38 T-Tender features a completely revised design, focusing on the main deck, extending the cockpit area by over two meters.
Thanks to this, the main deck of the 48 T-Tender is not only larger than the standard 38 model, but also features a more spacious L-shaped dinette and a second L-shaped lounge facing aft. The compromise is a smaller interior, which now features a V-shaped sofa at the bow, convertible into a second berth, and a medium-sized separate shower head.
The Tornado 38 T-Tender is powered by two 300 HP Volvos with outboard propulsion, which will ensure a maximum speed of 37 knots.
