Motor Catamaran 12.5 “Mio” – Unique one-off catamaran with a modern appearance
The Motor Catamaran 12.5 “Mio” is a one-off design by Hans Scherer, built in 2018 in woodcore epoxy. This unique vessel offers a combination of excellent sailing characteristics, light and modern finishing, and a thoughtful layout that optimally utilizes the available space.
With a length of 12.50 meters and a width of 4.00 meters, the “Mio” is particularly stable and comfortable, both while sailing and at anchor. The spacious salon with a standing height of 2 meters, modern light finishing, and comfortable cabin with a fixed double bed make this ship ideal for a couple who wants to enjoy the water in peace.
The propulsion is provided by two reliable Evinrude E-Tec outboard motors of 50 HP each (built in 2018), allowing the catamaran to maneuver effortlessly and achieve a cruising speed of approximately 9 km/h. Thanks to the low draft of only 60 cm, shallow navigation areas are also easily accessible. An electric bow thruster with remote control facilitates docking.
The equipment is complete with, among other things, an electric toilet, hot air heating, electric refrigerator, and a gas stove – everything to sail comfortably and independently.
