Description
Barracuda is a Ronautica 400 by Barracuda Yacht Design, Spain, and is listed exclusively for sale with YOTI on Pittwater.
Launched in 2004, this is undeniably a head turning performance cruiser. Chosen in the performance fit out, this example features the triple spreader rig and deep lead keel. The traveler is in the cockpit for ultimate control and there are the full six winches with German main system. Main and jib are 3Di by Norths plus there are both asymmetric and symmetrical kites.
Barracuda is a rewarding and extremely fun yacht to sail. She is currently set up in performance mode and is designed to also function in a cruise set up – the main can be rigged on the coach roof and the large cockpit table could be installed.
Down below is a comfortable full cruise fit out with three private cabins (one currently is set up for storage) plus two heads, a practical galley with large refrigeration, and a seriously comfy saloon (the table lowers for additional berths or a day bed for those chilled days on the water).
The cockpit is massive and puts similar vessels on this length to shame (both racers and cruisers!). All the cockpit teak was laid brand new in just 2022 and looks stunning. The hull was fully stripped back and soda blasted, re-epoxied and painted in just 2020. She was re-rigging in 2015 by Diverse Rigging. Barracuda has just been engine serviced in March 2023 and was last anti-fouled in Feb 2022.
This is the ultimate cross over for someone who wants to sail properly while having absolute cruisability.
Contact Peter Mactier for further details and to arrange inspection on a marina berth on Pittwater.
