Description
2000 Bowman 42 | Macushla of Shannon
The Bowman 42 is the successful collaboration of top cruising yacht designer Chuck Paine and the exception Bowman craftsman team. Built for comfortable ocean cruising, the Bowman 42 is robust with a quality of construction that inspires confidence even in the most challenging conditions. Delivering sparkling performance, Macushla of Shannon can still be easily handled by a crew of just two.
The yacht features a fore cabin with double V-berth and private ensuite, and there is a double cabin in the aft as well as two single berths in the saloon.
The comfortable saloon is fitted with a U-shaped settee, ample storage and a large dining table with convenient folding leaf. The navigation area comprises a forward-facing chart table positioned with great storage. Positioned aft of the saloon, the galley is spacious and pracatical with twin sinks, top-access refrigerator and cold box, and generous stowage lockers for extended cruising.
Macushla of Shannon has a solid hull laminated and supported by full-length longitudinal stringers that provide integral hull strength. Hand lay-up of the GRP helps to ensure consistency in the laminate, and meticulous care has been taken in the selection of all deck fittings to ensure they will withstand the rigours of severe weather conditions.
Launched in July 2000, Macushla of Shannon was built to the exacting standards of her previous fastidious owners with five yachts already under their belts. Always laid up ashore during the winter, the yacht has spent her summer months in Norway, Spain, Portugal. Her current owned sailed her around the world to Australia where Macushla of Shannon is now being offered for sale.
