The 42 design is one of those boats that just sails great. She has enough forefoot to keep her from pounding. She just goes through the water with slight heel bring on the horizons! Like all the Catalinas the hardware is heavy duty not just barely big enough. Nice big winches Lewmar 52 self-tailing, stout Harken traveler, strong well placed blocks, good size standing rigging and more. Yanmar 44 hp very fuel efficient and this engine pushes her through the water with plenty to spare.
