Deck

The deck design of the Catalina MKII incorporates all of the features experienced sailors expect, and all sailors will appreciate.

Special attention has been given to the design of the cockpit because much of your time is spent there. The cockpit is big enough for the entire crew. The seats are long enough to nap on. The seats and seat backs have a proper angle for comfort, the coamings are designed for comfortable seating outboard. The "T" shaped cockpit has a contoured helmsman's seat and pedestal steering.

All sail controls lead aft so they can be operated with a dodger in place, for a comfortable crew in any weather.

Accommodations

The accommodations are spacious and well planned for family cruising or weekend entertaining. The main cabin is trimmed with teak and ash strips on the hull sides. The overhead is a soft look, textured fiberglass, for easy care. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the opening ports ensure good ventilation and lots of light below. The traditional table can be stored against the bulkhead. 

There are berths for seven in 

including the unique aft double berth. Forward is a comfortable double cabin with a large overhead hatch. Just aft is the head, lined in white plastic laminate, trimmed in teak, it is bright, attractive, and easy to care for. The head is fitted with a storage locker, stainless steel sink, and shower area. 

Storage space on the Catalina 30 is abundant and accessible, including a large port cockpit locker and numerous lockers and drawers in the cabin. 

Galley

The galley is within reach of the dining table and the cockpit. It is well ventilated and lit by a large overhead hatch and windows. There is a generous size insulated icebox, a pair of stainless steel sinks, and lots of counter space. A stainless gimbaled stainless steel stove and oven is standard.
