For the Nonsuch followers, these boats need no introduction, for those that say "Non-what?" Then do some homework. These Canadian built Mark Ellis designed, and Hinterhoeller built, behemoths are one of the most fascinating sailboat ever developed. Cat rigged, single sail, wishbone rig, are one of the easiest boat ever to sail, especially single handed or short handed even has an electric main halyard wench. Stepping into the interior one would think they are entering a 35-40 foot boat rather that a mere 30 footer. The standing headroom is enormous, and the width combined with layout gives the feeling a very large cruising boat.
Top Cat Is the rarer shoal draft model drawing only 4 feet, has new main sail cover, and main sail (new in 2012) and rarely used since installed, it was cleaned a restitched 2021. All new running rigging replace 2021, it was re-powered with a Beta Marine diesel in 2017 that is barely broken in with 50 hours but just had new fuel pump and lines installed 2021. New Fisher Panda 4200 ECO generator installed in 2015 and barely used, with new generator thru hull 2021. A new teak/holly sole piece is made for the bilge covering, and the whole interior has been cleaned and bleached May 2022. Hauled for new bottom paint 2021, A/C serviced and new refrigeration, and new marine toilet 2022.
