An opportunity to open a new chapter for a quality Cruising Yacht!
Resolute is a Camper Nicholson 35, which was imported into the US, new in 1985. She was one of the last models built, being hull number 222 of 228. Built in 1985 for an experienced American yachtsman who had several custom upgrades put into the standard boat, including lengthened v-berths, teak ceilings and teak finish around the chart table, as well as all of the final improvements to the later model boats, such as a taller rig and a v-drive Perkins engine in lieu of hydraulic transmission. There is extensive documentation that transfers with the boat, builder's notes and plans, and builder's correspondence with the original owner. Except for two years when she was in Sausalito, CA, she has been a New England vessel and was winterized each year.
RESOLUTE'S forward cabin has a v-berth with filler to form a comfortable double. The cabin is fitted with twin teak storage compartments forward, shelves to port and starboard and large lockers below. Cabin ceilings are of varnished teak. Directly aft is a full-width head with hanging locker, toilet, porcelain sink with medicine cabinet over and storage beneath. Stainless fixtures service hot and cold water. The head is cream-colored molded fiberglass with teak trim for ease of maintenance. The sole is a teak grate with a shower sump below. RESOLUTE's main salon is particularly spacious and comfortable, with unusual storage space for a vessel of her dimensions. Interior surfaces are finished in satin varnish with extensive joinery work and trim. A varnished teak and holly sole runs throughout the vessel with bilge access panels. The main salon has an L-shaped settee to port (which folds into a double berth) and an extendable settee to starboard. Joinery work includes extensive built-in lockers with teak facing, a liquor cabinet, bookshelves, AM/FM/CD stereo and extensive storage behind fold-down bolsters and beneath the settees. On the centerline, a varnished teak drop-leaf table with storage compartments comfortably accommodates four. The fine interior finish does not detract from RESOLUTE's rugged offshore ability. All berths are equipped with excellent lee cloths which fasten to built-in attachment points. Water tanks are located in the bilge for stability. Grab rails are numerous and sturdy. Well-placed fiddles. Lockers latch securely to keep articles in place. She is a stable, strong and reassuring vessel with a particularly comfortable motion in a seaway.
The galley is aft of the main cabin. Shelving and under-counter lockers provide significant storage for food and utensils. A particularly large, well insulated, top-loading ice box is aft of the stove. A custom-built, recessed knife rack with magnetic retention strip is installed on the forward work surface. The stainless steel sink, amidships, has hot and cold pressure water, a back-up hand pump and a sea water foot pump. A molded-in dish rack is immediately aft of the sink. 90 gallons of fresh water is divided between two stainless steel tanks, venting to the galley sink. Cooking is done by a propane camping stove.
Head is a Thetford Porta Potti with fittings for a Marine Head.
