Description
Good performance, quality construction, and comfortable accommodations describe the Sabre 38. Sirach features the shoal draft centerboard keel, and recent updates to electronics, batteries, standing rigging, Dodger & Bimini, and interior upholstery. The bottom was recently stripped and barrier coated; and the engine was rebuilt in 2018. If you are looking for a boat that will give you comfort and performance with traditional looks and interior space at an affordable price, come and take a look at Sirach.
Accommodations
Sirach features a hand-crafted teak interior with a varnished teak & holly cabin sole in good condition. Eight opening ports and four deck hatches let in plenty of light and air. All interior upholstery replaced in 2020.
As you enter through the companionway, the large U-shaped galley is to port and to starboard is the forward-facing chart table with a bench seat that doubles as storage and behind that, under the cockpit is a large quarterberth with storage under. Engine access is beneath the aft galley counter and behind the companionway steps.
Heading forward is the Main Saloon The dining table folds up against the forward port bulkhead, creating a large open space. To port is an L-shaped settee that converts to a double berth. The Starboard settee is straight and makes a good sea-berth. Storage lockers and shelving are outboard of both settees. The forward bulkhead is painted white to brighten the cabin, and there is a large overhead hatch for ventilation.
Continuing forward is a hanging locker to starboard, and the head to port. The head has two doors providing access from the forward cabin and main saloon and features a partially separated shower stall.
The large V-berth is forward with storage on either side of the cabin and beneath the berth. Ventilation is provided by two opening ports and a large overhead hatch.
