Description
Amels are focused, oceangoing machines, not dock queens to be tucked ashore at the slightest breeze. The 46 Maramu is a true classic ready to circumnavigate shorthanded or singlehanded.
This yacht is offered for sale with many new upgrades, significant spending having been done since 2010, not least the new 75hp engine in 2011 and all navigation electronics and a Raymarine hydraulic autopilot installed in 2013. A second furling headsail has been installed for use c/w twin poles. The sailplan as a whole is a good selection offering a variety of options to enjoy..
She comes complete with a large amount of power tools, hand tools, rigging hardware, fabrics, sailmaking kit, hundreds of paper charts and is essentially ready for the off.
Accommodation
The standard layout for the Maramu consists of two large cabins fore and aft, each with an identical attached head and shower. Headroom ranges from 6'6" in the saloon, 6'4" in both of the head areas, to 6'3" in both of the staterooms. Every berth aboard the vessel is a minimum of 6'6" in length. The fwd stateroom has 2x single berths which quickly convert to a large double . The aft cabin has a large double berth and a vanity/writing desk. The saloon area readily converts to a proper offshore off-watch sleeping cabin if needed in severer weather conditions. Both the port & starboard settees quickly make into extremely secure sea berths.The interior woods are European timber, plenty of lighting and ventilation making for very comfortable living.
Galley
ENO two burner stove and oven (2010). Double s/s sink and custom draining board. Good storage and all cookware, etc. Refrigeration from one 220VAC fridge and a 12VDC fridge plus a 12VDC chiller box (2012). All cookware, utensils remain.
Showers
Two, cold water only.
Heads
Two, manual. No holding tank.
Electrics and Batteries
The yacht's AC system is 240 Volt, shore power inlet and cable, CRISTEC 40amp and portable 10amp MOBITRONIC battery chargers. Two inverters. The yacht's DC system is 12VDC. House bank is 6 x 95amp batteries (2010) Engine start battery is a 150amp. DC charging from two 80watt and two 50watt solar panels, 80amp engine alternator and a 40amp shaft alternator, all fully regulated.
Two automatic electric bilge pumps.
