$67,500 to become Co-Owners of an incredible boat that is regularly maintained! The boat recently surveyed for $135k.
The owners of Blackbeard II, a 42’ William Garden designed Porpoise Ketch, are looking for a ½ share partner to co-own Blackbeard II with together. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking for a boat partnership. Blackbeard II has been with the same owners for 34 years. They have sailed her far and wide and then back home again to PNW waters where they continue to explore our local waters. Blackbeard is in turn-key condition and her owners love her dearly and hope, with a partnership, to keep sailing the boat well into the future!
Blackbeard II was designed by William Garden and built by Master Shipwright Pat Sullivan in Victoria, B.C. She is USCG Documented. She was completed in 1975 and launched in 1978. The boat is Strip Planked with Red Cedar on steamed and laminated Oak Frames, and fastened with galvanized nails. She’s powered by a Perkins 4-236, 4 Cylinder, 85HP Diesel Engine. Her 6 Dyno 6 VDC House Batteries and Lifeline 12 VDC Starter Battery are charged with a Xantrex Freedom Marine 25A 2500W Charger. Her Electronics include a Garmin GPSMap 741xs Chart Plotter/Radar/GPS/Knotmeter, a Raymarine Digital Depthsounder/Knotmeter/Trip Log, Raymarine Wind and Speed Instruments, Uniden Oceanus and West Marine Handheld VHF, Sony and Cybernet onboard Stereo and a Qualcomm Globalstar Satellite Phone.
On Deck, Blackbeard II has wide open teak deck space that merges well with the large cockpit. She can be handled by two or accommodate the entire family! The teak decks are in great condition (as noted in recent survey). The standing rigging was new in 2005 and the sails are made by PT Sails (Carol Hasse, in Port Townsend) and in very good condition, including a Furling Genoa, Staysail, Main, Mizzen and Genniker. She has a Hydraulic Windlass on the bow to haul up her 60# CQR, chain and rode with a back up 45# CQR w/ rode.
Down Below Blackbeard II has an open and bright interior layout with great lighting from the large house side windows. She has a spacious Salon with an L-shaped Settee and large table. There are two large quarter berths aft, navigation station, large galley with a Force-10 Propane 3-Burner Stove and Oven, Pacific Refrigeration Freezer and Refrigerator, Stainless Sink, an Aqua Marine 18 GPH Reverse-Osmosis Water Maker System and Hot and Cold Pressure Water and the sink.
Blackbeard II was just hauled for her routine 2019 maintenance and new bottom paint and zincs. She also had a new PSS Dripless Shaft Seal Bellows Fitted, Hydraulic Winch servicing, and new topside paint touchup. A March 2019 Survey is available upon request.
Blackbeard II has been extremely well taken care of by her owners, this is an excellent opportunity for a boat partnership on a gorgeous vessel!
