Boating anglers who value good looks, versatility, a quality build and to top it off great fuel efficiency will immediately gravitate toward the Sportsman Heritage 229. The 229 was the first boat in the Heritage series and is a family-friendly 22-footer built out of the Palmetto State. With an 18 degree deadrise from transom, the boat is extremely stable while drifting. The 55 degree deadrise at the bow gives the boat an aggressive Carolina flare look for a 22 foot boat, allowing it to run great in many sea conditions. This boat would be a great option for anyone looking for an inshore fishing or family cruising/water sport center console.
The owner has made no excuses when it comes to maintaining this Sportsman 229 Heritage ready for a new turnkey owner. Routinely washed and waxed by a professional this boat is clean as can be. Stored inside during the winter months for even better protection. The freshly painted hull surface gives the boat a like new finish. This boat comes with the larger Yamaha option for the 229 model, a Yamaha F250 giving the boat a max speed of 45 knots. Cruising at around 29 knots. The cushioned split bench seating in the bow is a great place to take in the views while cruising or to relax. This boat has the optional hardtop feature with a flush forward facing light bar and 2 aft facing flood lights. This hard top also holds 4 stainless steel rod holders. The helm features hydraulic steering, an integrated footrest and a spacious vertical panel for flush-mounting electronic displays up to 10 inches. The leaning post has dry storage underneath the padded seat. For fishing purposes the boat has 4 flush mounted rod holders, 2 starboard and 2 port. 4 more stainless steel rod holders rest behind the leaning post. Below the port and starboard gunnels you will find 3 more spots for rod storage. Coaming pads protect your thighs and knees from bruises while fishing or cruising around the boat. The 18 degree deadrise from transom gives the boat a very stable platform while drifting over wrecks or reefs. Storage inside and under the helm offer enough space for numerous guests bags or water activities. 3 compartments in the bow offer an abundant dry storage space, they also drain overboard and can also serve as a fish box.
