Zuma is up for sale after completing a full season in the Exuma islands of the Bahamas. She spent over 60 days anchored in some of the most beautiful water on the planet and served up to 7 guests (yes it was tight, but she handles lots of people well!). Over 1000 hours were put on the generator and 239 hours were put on her 420hp Caterpillar main engines. We towed a 19' Grady Tournament for the entire journey and normally ran at 1450 RPM at 10 knots burning 12.5 gallons per hour total.
My family purchased the boat explicitly to have a boat to use for the summer months in the Bahamas - and Zuma completed every trip with style and grace!
When we purchased her early last year, we then hauled her out and had all the running gear sanded and Propspeed applied. We had the bottom paint touched up, and Lumitec underwater lights installed. The air conditioning was serviced and flushed and has performed flawlessly. The hull was compounded and polished. The engines and generator got some attention as well with oil changes and fuel filters.
The teak look floors outside are beautiful, and the inside has no carpet! All carpet has been removed and wood look floors add a classy bit of flair!
Zuma has tons of storage space below the floors in the salon, we could hold plenty of food and dry goods for week long trips - yes, it was a game of tetris, but it works!
Up on the bridge, the original electronics work, but do show some age. We installed a new radar screen since the old one was dim, and the open array radar works perfectly. I use a iPad with Navionics for navigation, so I did not see the need for another Nav system. The autopilot works well, even handling a following sea with a tender in tow very nicely.
The televisions have been updated to 27" flat Samsung smart TV's.
Zuma will come to you with fresh Rotella oil in her engines and generator, as well as new oil and fuel filters. Brand new polished stainless steel plow anchor - looks gorgeous up on the bow!
She served my family very well, and I am confident she will do the same for yours! Need a captain to help move the boat around? I'm a professional yacht captain and bought this boat to show my family the areas I have taken guests for years! I'm heading back to work, so she's up for sale! I'm happy to help you move the boat, teach you about her, and help you with planning your first trip to the Bahamas!
Running the big boats, I was used to towing a tender, so we bought a 19' Grady White Tournament with a tow bracket and it is available for sale as well -- but only as part of a package deal with Zuma. You will see it tied alongside Zuma in some of the pictures.
Enjoy your boat search and call me if you think Zuma might be the right boat for you! No, I won't give it away, and 50k "cash" will not buy it, so don't waste our time - this boat is ready for your next trip, its not a project that needs a year of prep to leave the dock. She's titled and registered in Florida, and documented properly with the US Coast Guard.
Youtube Videos of walkthrough inside and then upstairs.
Engines are strong, fresh CAT filters, ready to crank up and go!
2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! Rare for 2 baths on this size boat!
Everything works! Including the original can opener!
