Brief History of Vessel
The current owner has enjoyed TAOS II both in terms of coastal and river cruises and improving the vessel with an on-going maintenance programme. As a result, the vessel is fully serviced and ready to go. TAOS II has proved to be highly reliable and a first-class sea going and river vessel. The Sealine Statesman 360 is renowned for its excellent sea handling and comfort as an all-around and capable fast cruising vessel.
With numerous local outings undertaken with friends, Taos II travelled up to Oxford during a break in the Covid lockdown restrictions. This journey took one week and involved transiting 56 locks there and back to Shepperton. Taos behaved perfectly and the river was extremely quiet with little other craft movement.
Other cruises involved trips through London to St Katherines Dock, participation in the ATYC 2019 Rally to West India Dock and cruises further afield including to The River Medway, Chatham, Rochester and Queensborough. All of these cruises were well within the capability of this vessel.
The owner had also hoped to join other boats making the 2025 85th anniversary cross channel trip to Dunkirk but due to limited moorings was unable to join in.
Known Faults / Work in Progress
As mentioned above, considerable maintenance has been undertaken by the present owner. There are no repairs in progress and minor faults have been fixed by the owner. Volvo Penta digital engine hour run logs and are not working. Accordingly, the owner has logged all engine use during his ownership.
