AD DESCRIPTION:
The 1985 Sun Fizz by Jeanneau was designed by a young Philippe Briand to replace the Gin Fizz, a successful model from the French shipyard. Designed for cruising, the Sun Fizz quickly achieved significant success in many races, with a maximum beam of 3.85 m and a height under the beam ranging from 1.95m at the entrance to 1.84m at the access to the forward cabin. It is immediately clear that the Sun Fizz does not lack livability. In terms of comfort, this boat takes a step forward, thanks to standard equipment that includes a fridge, pressurized water, shower drain pump, manual and electric bilge pump, extractor hood, and even a stereo player fitted under a bar for bottles. This sailing boat certainly has no shortage of seductive features.
For its part, the wide-angle chart table will satisfy even the most demanding navigators. Storage compartments, U-shaped molded seat, side compartment for storing nautical charts, pen holder, etc... Nothing is missing.
Interior description:
They are equipped with finishes made by the shipyards. Light beige fabrics alternate with small dark wood slats, giving the whole a very pleasant touch. At the helm of the Sun Fizz, the waves are almost always faced gently, in a very fluid manner. The helmsman, instead of worrying about how to cross the waves, can focus on the sail trim.
The architect preferred to focus on balance and the purity of lines, from which a natural impression of elegance emanates. Exterior description: The deck plan of the Sun Fizz is both functional and clear. Wide side decks, shrouds placed sufficiently inward, excellent non-slip surfaces: everything contributes to facilitating maneuvers. At the foot of the mast, a safety pulpit allows crew members to work well protected. How soft, at the wheel it has never stiffened, even with too strong a wind, when we were undoubtedly too rigid. Moreover, it is very precise and just needs a bit of wind to be ready to stretch its stride, as it has power to spare. Think of the results in the Baule Dakar! Not bad for a boat whose initial vocation is cruising! For a cruising boat, it is certainly a fast cruiser!
The hull designed by Briand meets the expectations placed on it; it runs, glides away, a swallow's wake.
