Description

Sturdy and solid sailing ship, with doghouse and centerboard: 1.50/2.40 m.

This Northern Comfort is rightly called a ship: Sturdy, functional, and comfortable for longer journeys. A well-built hull (insulated) with a centerboard allows for good draft for sea voyages, as well as exploring shallow waters. The rudder construction is well-suited for 'drying out'. The doghouse provides a sheltered place during rougher conditions under sail, or as a comfortable living space with a view all around. The layout is well thought out and practical, offering three separate cabins and a separate shower room. The very large saloon table has ample space for all crew members and guests.

Windows: Toughened glass in aluminum window profiles

Ballast: Approximately 5,000 kg, of which an estimated 500 kg is on the flat.
Other:
  • Hull built by Devo-Mill Yacht Construction, completed in 1990.
