Designed by Michael Peters in collaboration with Sarrazin Design, the Leader 7.5 Series 3 brings together exceptional performance, all-around good looks, and great onboard living into one impressive 25-foot package. Powered by a single 300HP outboard Yamaha engine, the new Leader 7.5 Series 3 is a revival of its predecessor the Leader 7.5 Series 2 but includes a newly designed Michael Peter’s hull giving it greater performance. Reach a top speed of 46+ mph while you will cruise comfortably at 30 mph.  The extended flush swim platforms allow easy access onboard for your crew. Beginning all the way aft, the U-shaped bench complete with a center table provides plenty of seating that cleverly folds away when not in use. New this year is the optional entertainment island complete with sink, fridge, and optional gas stove or live-well. True to the Jeanneau DNA, the Leader 7.5 Series 3 has a new, optional fiberglass t-top along with a sleek black profile windscreen. Moving forward to the bow, a sun pad stretched the full width with two adjustable backrests, perfect for those days in the sun. Both entertainment spaces can be fully protected from the sun with option sunshades.  Slip below and you'll find a nice spacious salon with plenty of seating, a small galley, and a private head. For overnights, the seating area easily converts to make a double berth, making the Leader 7.5 Series 3 much more than just a day boat.

Her sleek and elegant lines, combined with the versatility of an ingenious layout, enable her to suit all cruising styles. The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 has been designed to be tailored to satisfy all preferences and cruising lifestyles.  She allows numerous choices, such as an arch, a hardtop, an exterior galley, releasable forestay, furling mast, with which you would transform her from a sporty “Mediterranean” yacht to a fully-fledged offshore cruiser for longer voyages. The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 can be split into four living areas, each offering multiple options: the forepeak, the forward cabins, the salon with the forward galley, and the aft cabins. The forepeak: three versions are possible, with a large sail locker, a skipper cabin, or a sixth cabin. Next, two versions of the forward area are possible: an owners’ cabin or two cabins, each with a double berth. The bulkhead that divides the two forward cabins can be slid forward into a dedicated storage space creating one open space. Then one berth can be transformed into a sofa, creating a suite on demand. Three possible layouts are available for the starboard side of the salon: a version with a sofa and adjacent chart table, a lateral twin bunk cabin, or an “open plan” version that could accommodate two free-standing armchairs. Finally, the aft living area can be configured as either an owner’s cabin or as two cabins, featuring one double berth on starboard, and a twin bunk to port. The JEANNEAU YACHTS 60 combines internal expertise of the JEANNEAU Design department, sharp design by Andrew Winch, and complete mastery of naval architecture by Philippe Briand. Deck plans and interior layouts are enhanced by high-performance technology and some of the finest materials. Our quest for unprecedented comfort onboard is paired with our desire to offer a yacht demonstrating “best in class” sailing abilities. The proportions are perfect, thanks to its maximized waterline versus overall length and carefully balanced distribution of living space.   The deck, with its contemporary style, gives this large yacht timeless appeal. The innovative deck layout features an inverted bow, a hull chine, an integrated bowsprit, a high sheer line, as well as walk-around sidedecks, making movement about the boat easy. The longitudinal garage accommodates a 10-foot tender that can be launched and retrieved effortlessly.

  6. Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 Manufacturer Provided Image

    Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490

    2024

To be the flagship of the walk around series, the Sun Odyssey 490 had to set the bar for innovation, performance, and comfort. Phillippe Briand and Jean-Marc Piaton took on the challenge and designed a boat that not only sets the standard for the Sun Odyssey range, but redefines what is capable in the 50 foot cruising market. In this design, Lombard added even more hull volume to the Sun Odyssey lines, delivering greater sailing performance, more interior space for guests comfort, and more lounge areas on topside. As with every Sun Odyssey, the cockpit ergonomics are second to none. Every sheet is cleverly led to the helm station, where the boat can be easily single or double handed. The massive cockpit lounge is framed by the iconic walk around decks, which make movement around the boat easier than ever before. However, the game changer comes when the convertible coamings, the unfolding seat backs, are set up as beds. The entire aft eight feet of the boat transform into a cushioned sun bathing deck. The open concept interior is bathed in light, as the main salon features many rows of windows and hatches. The central U-shaped galley is optimally placed for comfort while under way, as well as serving meals in the salon. In the 490, the nav station is particularly emphasized, as there is an aft facing bench added to it, elevating this feature into a coffee nook or home office. However, it’s the forward stateroom where this boat really sets itself apart. The square queen bed has plenty of space to walk around on all sides, and the large central armoire is perfect for mounting a television for viewing in bed. The gorgeous shower stall is placed on centerline, allowing for 6’6” headroom; a luxury usually only found on much larger boats.

    Balance 442

The agile multi-tasker is SAIL magazine’s Best Boat winner for 2023.  She’s the ideal performance cruiser for island hoppers yet fully capable of trans-oceanic adventure travel. With her carbon reinforced foam core hulls and powerful sail plan the Balance 442 is a fast and able voyager. With her powerful 1, 205-square foot-sail plan the Balance 442 ghosts along in 5 knots of wind while others are burning diesel. But when it’s blowing, furl in her headsails, reef her down, and fly. She is built to withstand the worst weather.  Gorgeous Interior Design With her owner-version configuration, the Balance 442 easily accommodates six people. And Balance’s innovative salon table converts into a queen-size bed so you can always host another couple. It is also a place to hang out, read a book, or sleep when your partner is on watch. Her master shower aft is luxurious. The 442 sports 6’10” of headroom, boasts a large U-shaped galley, and offers more real wood, hand-made cabinetry, than any catamaran of her size and class. Award-Winning VersaHelm The 442 delivers the most expansive sight lines in the catamaran world today. The flow and openness between the main salon and cockpit are superbly designed with the VersaHelm - a helm station that swings up and down with ease. The VersaHelm has revolutionized all weather sailing. At Balance, our quest for perfect balance means we innovate, we create, we imagine better sailing experiences at every stage. And then we build it. Speed and Ease of Operation The 442 is fast, but how does she balance the need for speed with the reality of single-handed sailing? Her self-tending blade jib makes tacking a simple matter of turning over the helm. All her reefing and sail management takes place at the upper helm station. With her dual furling headsails, electric winches, and mainsheet system that operates without a traveler, her ease of sailing is remarkable. Too windward, wow, drop down her daggerboards and point like a bandit. Fast But Always Gracious We take our quest for perfect balance into every detail, making the 442 a sheer delight to live on. It is the most gracious liveaboard catamaran to be found today. Its luxury is in perfect harmony with its power. She’s a pleasure to move about on whether that’s cooking, sleeping, lounging, bathing, dining or entertaining friends and family. There is a place to store everything on the 442, and a lot of places to just hang out and relax. You can pilot her up top in fair weather, pilot her down in the cold, you can lounge and read inside or outside, turn your tables into beds, into dining tables, into pleasure nooks for reading or watching the latest film. Find out why Balance Catamarans is the fastest growing catamaran builder in the world today, and why the 442 is a breakthrough catamaran on every level.   Note: This is not an advertisement for a brokerage yacht. 10. Nordhavn 96

    Nordhavn 96

    2024
    Request Price

Pacific Asian Enterprises (PAE) has expanded the Nordhavn line with the addition of the Nordhavn 96. This new design looks to serve as a stepping stone between the large cruiser and megayacht categories. For the enthusiast who is seeking megayacht-like style and features in a boat that is still able to be managed with no – or minimal – crew, the Nordhavn 96 is the ideal solution. She is based on the hull of the very successful Nordhavn 86, and incorporates a 10-foot cockpit extension that allows for space bumps in several areas of the boat including below decks in the crew area and lazarette; at main deck level in the cockpit and saloon; on the pilothouse deck with a larger sky lounge or upper master stateroom (depending on layout); and an even more capacious fly bridge. Fuel capacity remains the same, although slight gains in fuel burn are likely due to the N96’s longer water line. Displacement also stays virtually the same. “It is a fairly easy procedure to extend the molds,” says Jeff Leishman, PAE’s Chief of Design. And it is an efficient way to give a customer the additional space they are seeking without the drastic cost of building an entirely new hull. Nordhavn has employed this method of thinking with several of its other models including the N52 (based on the N47 hull), the N60 and 63 (based on the N55 hull), the N68 (based on the N64 hull) and the N76 (based on the N72 hull), and the approach has been a hugely successful one. The stretched out models proved themselves to be so advantageous that, as a result, they have become more popular than their predecessors. And contrary to published reports, there is zero downside to adding hull extensions. Says Leishman: “These types of modifications have actually demonstrated to enhance performance.”
