TAO is one of the last Catana 43OC (hull #57) built with the superior options and a high specification featured in this model: carbon mast, Cherry wood and Corian finishes. The 43OC was the evolution of the Catana 431, one of the most successful and popular Catana models. It offers the signature features of Barreau designs with attractive lines, high freeboard, large bow volumes, good bridge deck clearance and a generous sail plan. The 43OC achieves the great balance between performance and comfort that the larger Catana 471 and 581 are known for in a more compact and affordable size.
TAO is equipped for long distance voyaging with a large 72 m2 dacron mainsail and 3 headsails including furling genoa, furling screecher and spinnaker. All of the standing rigging was just replaced in August 2023 (new shrouds, diamonds and headstay). Her onboard amenities are powered by 1000 watts of solar, a 3.5 Mastervolt generator and high-output engine alternators. Amenities include a dual power AC/DC water-maker, washer/dryer, a very large 200L fridge and 100L freezer.
TOA is a proven, blue-water cat that has taken its owners to the South Pacific and back. It sits on the hard today in Panama (Caribbean side), waiting out the hurricane season and nicely positioned to head back to the Pacific, Central America or the Caribbean.
The Multihull Company has a broker and contractors in Panama standing by to assist you to inspect, survey, upgrade or deliver the boat to its next adventure.
