This is a 125’ Fast Ferry built in the USA in 1996. It is fully operation, has all current USCG Certifications, current USCG COI, and is one of the only Jones Act - Compliant ferries available for immediate sale and delivery today.
The first of a new generation of low wake ferries, this fast ferry was built to operate at full speed in congested waters. This catamaran ferry is built to the highest quality standards with USCG Subchapter K full compliance. It can carry350 passengers at a service speed of 35 knots. The slender hulls of this catamaran design generate a wake-wash that is the lowest ever measured for a boat of this type.
Designed for bow loading, this fast passenger craft perfectly meets the demands of a high volume commuter service. The ride is "remarkably smooth" and the interior "bright and airy". Two boats of this type have been in service, year round, since 1996 with a remarkable service record which boasts over twenty thousand hours of operation without any sign of structural fatigue.
