See youtube video https://youtu.be/OqfYdZSR0V0.The vessel has been designed for minimum maintenance to ensure reliability and the ability to operate every day with no down time. The boat has carried 100,000’s of tourists to the Great Barrier Reef since 2003 (www.passions.com.au for area and operational information) and has an outstanding record of success, including an Australian Tourism Award and being inducted into the Queensland Tourism Hall of Fame. The owners have built a larger boat and Sailing Horizons is now for sale and ready for another successful 15 years. The vessel has had a complete professional refurbishment including full NSCV certification and presents like new. Designed by renowned naval Architect Grahame Parker (famous for his Sydney and Brisbane river cat designs), the boat was professional built by Jarkan Yachts in NSW. When completed the vessel entered the highly competitive day reef market out of Cairns where it quickly established a world-wide reputation for excellence. Due to its ergonomic design, the boat cruises at 11 knots using approximately 20 litres per side (with an engine operating load of less than 50%), and top speed 15 knots. A simple, but robust sailing rig was designed by Whalespar in Sydney and the vessel has operated flawlessly in all kinds of weather. Always professionally maintained, Sailing Horizons is a very pretty, working commercial sailing catamaran designed to attract and carry a wide range of markets. 25 meter sailing catamarans are rare, and this one has an established pedigree.
